The kingdom in the clouds means that in Tears of the Kingdom, Link has to do a lot more freefalling and base jumping than before. So to go pro, Link needs a wingsuit. The Glide armor suit is brand new to Tears of the Kingdom and allows Link to navigate the skies with grace and style.
Regardless of whether you have already picked your favourite armor set in Tears of the Kingdom, the Glide Armour Set is a real pleasure; even if you’re scared of heights.
You can earn each part from ring rituals around the floating archipelagoes and once you’ve got all three and upgraded them to level two, you can enjoy the set’s bonus– no fall damage! 🙏
But where can you find the Glide Armor Set in TotK? Let’s find out!
How To Find & Unlock The Glide Armor Set In Tears of the Kingdom
To earn the complete Glide Armor set, you will need to unlock 3 individual pieces of armour; the Glide Mask, the Glide Shirt and Glide Tights. If you have been struggling to track these pieces down, we’ve listed all of their coordinates with easy-to-follow instructions on how to find each Glide armour piece right here.
From hunting down each piece to how much each upgrade costs, here’s everything you need to know about the Glide Armor Set in Tears of the Kingdom:
- Where to get the Glide Mask
- Where to get the Glide Shirt
- Where to get the Glide Tights

Glide Mask Location
Coordinates: 4459, -821, 1114
This masquerade-style bird mask can be won near Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower, which is at the peak of Mount Lanayru. There, the air is more than chilly, it’s frozen solid, so bring warm clothing and hot meals before you climb.
If by mistake you overshoot and miss the sphere, you can fast-travel back to the shrine at the Sky Mine and try again. After a few attempts, you will have this landing locked down and will be happily sporting your first piece of Glide Armor.
To unlock the Glide Mask in Tears of the Kingdom, follow these 5 simple steps:
- Step 1: Launch from the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower.
- Step 2: Once airborne, glide northeast towards Valor Island.
- Step 3: Land on Valor Island and find the Zonai Construct.
- Step 4: Talk to the Zonai Construct and accept the trail run challenge.
- Step 5: Once you’ve beaten the trial, accept the true Dive Ceremony.
- Step 6: Skydive through all rings in 35 seconds to win the Glide Mask.
It’s important to know that each attempt at the challenge casts a Zonai Charge, but you can win back Large Zonai Charges once you’ve won the mask. Plus, for those of you who lack stamina, the small islands have flying machines you can use to get there. However, we recommend loading up on some of our stamina foods and making a few elixirs before attempting this glide too.
Glide Shirt Location
Coordinates: -2400, 0824, 0615
Once you’ve grabbed the Glide Mask, the next item within the set will be the Glide Shirt. After all, you can’t have a wingsuit without wings! So, to grab the Glide Shirt, visit the Skyview Tower at Lindor’s Brow, west of Hyrule Castle. The Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower is one of the easiest and earliest towers you will unlock in Tears of the Kingdom so your access to the Glide Shirt will be pretty early in the game.
To unlock the Glide Shirt in Tears of the Kingdom, follow these 6 simple steps:
- Step 1: Launch from the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower
- Step 2: Glide southwest to the floating rings of Courage Island.
- Step 3: Talk to the Zonai Construct by the pool on the bottom island.
- Step 4: Accept the trail run challenge.
- Step 5: Once victorious, talk to the construct again and start the Dive Ceremony.
- Step 6: Clear all the rings in 35 seconds to win the Glide Shirt.
Similarly to unlocking the glide mask, if you are low on stamina, use the smaller islands or stamina elixirs to ensure that you don’t fall to your death when paragliding over to Courage Island. Remember, you haven’t unlocked immunity to fall damage just yet!
Glide Tights Location
Coordinates: 0176, 1988, 0758
To claim the final piece of the Glide Armor set, the aerodynamic tights, visit the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower in north Hyrule. If you haven’t already unlocked the tower, you’ll have to move a metal brick off the top of the tower before you can launch. The Glide Tights are probably one of the easiest items to collect within the Glide Armor set and we have the instructions for you right here.
To unlock the Glide Tights in Tears of the Kingdom, follow these 6 simple steps:
- Step 1: First, launch from the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower
- Step 2: Glide south to Bravery Island.
- Step 3: Land by the pond and talk with the Zonai Construct.
- Step 4: Undertake the skydiving ritual trial run and impress the Construct.
- Step 5: The Construct will now offer you to take the Dive Ceremony
- Step 6: Lastly, dive through all the rings in under 35 seconds to unlock the Glide Tights.
Now that you have the Glide Mask, Glide Shirt and Glide Tights, it’s time to head on over to The Great Fairy Fountains and start upgrading them!
Glide Armor Set Bonus & Upgrades

Once all three pieces are at two stars or higher, you can skydive across Hyrule as freely and fearlessly as you like. However, each upgrade level is going to set you back some items and rupees. The Final Word
Using the Glide Armor sets no-fall damage to surprise unguarded Moblins with a ten-thousand-yard thrust is always funny. Not to mention the pleasures of soaring across Hyrule.
As much as the Glide Armor set is not the best for combat, as a utility armor, it’s well worth hunting down to ensure that you can reach the tallest of islands in Tears of the Kingdom. After all, there is so much to explore in the skies with this new game. Plus, it also makes the few gliding challenges left in the game a real breeze– like getting the Ancient Zonai Armour Set!
Besides, wasn’t the real treasure the fun you had on the way? 😏
