Paladins, priests, and holy sorcerers make use of Faith to aid their magic attacks and healing throughout Elden Ring. But for most, it’s a lesser-known and used attribute and you’re going to want the best faith weapons in your inventory.
Best invested in up to 50 Faith, your incantations and Faith scaling weapons will serve you well (though Holy Damage may fail you during later boss fights).
But which are the best Faith weapons in Elden Ring? Let’s find out! 👇
Top 10 Best Faith Weapons Elden Ring:

The best faith weapons in Elden Ring are:
- Blasphemous Blade
- Golden Halberd

- Maliketh’s Black Blade

- Sword of Night & Flame
- Envoy’s Long Horn

Blasphemous Blade
Type: Physical/Fire » Skill: Taker’s Flames
Unlock Location: Enia at Roundtable Hold after defeating Rykard
The writhing flesh of the Blasphemous Blade provides scaling healing after each kill, even when not in use. That alone makes it a worthy addbition to your warchest, but its skill manages to add heavy firepower too.

Taker’s Flame deals inordinate amounts of faith-scaling fire damage each hit, and with some buffing, one strike can easily reduce bosses to smouldering ash. The only downside is that the blade is Rykard’s boss weapon, so you’ll not come by it easily; Though it is a worthy price for such a powerful sword.

- Dexterity: D
- Faith: D
Golden Halberd
Type: Physical/Holy » Skill: Golden Vow
Unlock Location: Tree Sentinel in Limgrave
Though high faith is needed to wield the Golden Halberd, it’s best used by strength-heavy warriors. Golden Vow richly bolsters attack and defence with a golden blessing, and is best used before a flurry of blows.
For those foes who resist its holy damage, the Dragon Halberd makes a worthy backup, and the Icon Shield will further reinforce your defence. The Golden Halberd can be claimed from the slain rider of the Tree Sentinel of Limgrave.
Golden Halberd Initial Attribute Scaling:
- Strength: D
- Dexterity: E
- Faith: D
Coded Sword
Type: Standard/Pierce » Skill: Unlockable Blade
Unlock Location: Throne Room of Fortified Manor
The elegant Coded sword is a dream for pure faith builds. It needs only 20 Faith to wield, and starts scaling at a generous B-grade. When dual-wielded or paired with the Jellyfish shield, the swords enjoy high DPS, and make quick work of most invaders.
The Sacred Scorpion Charm is its match made in heaven, adding a full twelve percent to its damage (but increasing taken damage by ten percent). But as a pure faith weapon, it’ll hit a brick wall when facing holy-resistant enemies like Gurranq, the Cleanrot Knights, Godrick (and many other bosses).
Coded Sword Initial Attribute Scaling:
- Faith: B
Winged Scythe
Type: Physical/Holy » Skill: Angel’s Wings
Unlock Location: Tombsward Ruins in Weeping Peninsula
There are a measly four reaper weapons in the game, and the Winged Scythe is the one that best serves the faithful. Easily grabbed early into the game, it makes a quick and versatile weapon that’ll last long through the game.
The weapon’s bleed effect and Angel’s Wings skill make it especially useful for crowd control and preventing invaders from healing.
With consistent upgrades, the Winged Scythe can last a Faith build until the Blasphemous Blade, at which point, it’s generally outclassed.

- Strength: E
- Dexterity: D
- Faith: D
Godslayer’s Greatsword
Type: Physical/Fire » Skill: The Queen’s Black Flame
Unlock Location: Divine Tower of Caelid
Faster than most colossal swords, The Godslayer’s Greatsword enjoys a wholly unique moveset, and is a solid pick across all battlefields, and most builds. Its Queen Blackflame skill can perform three successive slashes of searing black flame for explosive power, especially if your build has invested in its three scaling attributes.
Talismans can also be used to focus on its Faith aspects, but high Faith will benefit its power and Art use immediately.
Godslayer’s Greatsword Initial Attribute Scaling:
- Strength: D
- Dexterity: D
- Faith: D
Maliketh’s Black Blade
Type: Holy/Physical » Skill: Destined Death
Unlock Location: Enia at Roundtable Hold after defeating Maliketh
The Black Knife’s sturdier sibling has a similar skill– An storm of slashes– but with greater area of effect (and windup). Destined Death cuts a ten-percent chunk out of its victims’ max health (meaning an opening strike with it cuts off a tenth of any health bar), and further damages over time.
The Black Blade is a colossal sword best used by a Strength-Faith build, and is certainly powerful, and its skill is always useful, but it’s later outclassed by the Blasphemous Blade, and the Godslayer’s Greatsword.
Maliketh’s Black Blade Initial Attribute Scaling:
- Strength: D
- Dexterity: E
- Faith: D
Cipher Pita
Type: Slash/Pierce » Skill: Unlockable Blade
Unlock Location: Side room in the Roundtable Hold
You can nab the Cipher Pata on your first visit to Roundtable Hold– Just jump off a ledge and pick it up off a bed– Making it a pleasurably easy find, but sadly, the Pata is not so easy to wield. Without 30 Faith, you’ll be lugging around a mostly useless pair of magic fists. Yeah, not a pretty sight indeed.
The speed and flexibility of the Cipher Pata makes it best for crowd control and slaying smaller enemies. And the Pata fare well against early bosses with some buffing via incantations, but the fists falter when facing late-game bosses who boast high Holy Damage resistance.
Cipher Pita Initial Attribute Scaling:
- Faith: C
Sacred Relic Sword
Type: Holy/Physical » Skill: Wave of Gold
Unlock Location: Enia at Roundtable Hold after defeating Radagaon/Elden Beast
As godly, and wondrous as the Sacred Relic Sword is, owning it means you’ve already defeated the final boss and harvested its soul. So what this sword does best is farming souls and weapons.
Its skill, Wave of Gold, is as it sounds, and clears a battlefield like a scythe through wheat. So, if you’re planning on farming some of the Albinaurics down at Mohgwyn’s Palace, you’d best bring along your Sacred Relic Sword.
Sacred Relic Sword Initial Attribute Scaling:
- Strength: E
- Dexterity: D
- Faith: D
Sword of Night & Flame
Type: Standard/Pierce » Skill: Night-and-Flame Stance
Unlock Location: Carnia Manor in a locked room
Holy spellcasters will find great joy in the Sword of Night and Flame’s power and multiple damage types. Its fire scales with faith, its magic with intelligence, and secondary damage with strength and dexterity. Its skill, Night and Flame stance, allows the casting of either a beam of azure magic, or a sweeping slash of fire.
It’s a powerful straight sword, and excellent for the confessor class, but its great downside is its FP cost, which will often leave you high and dry during key moments.
Sword of Night & Flame Initial Attribute Scaling:
- Strength: E
- Dexterity: E
- Intelligence: D
Envoy’s Long Horn
Type: Holy/Physical » Skill: Bubble Shower
Unlock Location: Large Oracle Envoy in the East Capital Rampart, Leyndell
The horn of bubble-blowing is a surprisingly cute weapon for the horrid locale and its ugly wielders (the snowman-like Large Oracles Envoys). But seeing your Tarnished perform its skill, blow the horn, and unleash a swarm of golden bubbles toward a target is both entertaining for you, and painful for your enemies.
With high Faith, the bubbles’ holy damage scales to powerful proportions, and the horn doubles as a crushing warhammer with extensive reach– The Envoy’s Long Horn also pairs well with the Blasphemous Blade.
Envoy’s Long Horn Initial Attribute Scaling:
- Strength: D
- Dexterity: D
- Faith: D
Are Faith Builds Good in Elden Ring?
Due to recent updates and game balancing by FromSoftware, Faith builds in Elden Ring are equally as good as any other build type. Especially when you combine talismans and start to explore faith scaling weapons.
Whilst starting out as the weakest of build types, Faith builds are not only extremely enjoyable, but they also hold their own through PvP gameplay too.
I mean, what’s not to love about throwing flames at your foe?
For gamers who enjoy hybrid builds, accompanying faith with any other build type is a superb combination to enjoy a wider array of what Elden Ring has to offer. And, if you’re just the smack-em and dash-em type of gamer who wants to have a little fun with a different type of build, then a Faith/Strength build is definitely for you.
Just remember, once you start heading down the pathway of a Faith build, you’re going to want to stick with it considering a minimum of 40 Faith is required to cast all of the incantations available.
