From teleporting your units behind enemy lines to farming an abundance of resources, the cheat code list for Age of Empires 4 is diversely beautiful. You can utilise each of these cheats to either secure a quick victory or to make things more difficult by attacking your own fortress. Either way, cheating in AoE4 creates an entirely new experience altogether.

Altering AoE4 Campaign Tempo
In addition to using cheats that drastically modify the game mechanics and game outcomes, you can also enter cheat codes that will slow down or speed up the game too.
Personally, I wouldn’t want to use either of these two cheats as the standard game speed is to my liking. However, if you want to alter the tempo of your AoE4 campaigns then you can use these codes below:

How To Use Cheats In Age of Empires 4?
Similarly to all previous Age of Empires games, cheats can be activated by simply opening the chat dialogue and typing in the cheat code. For custom games, the option to cheat must be selected prior to starting the game and you will also see from our cheat code list that certain cheats are only available during specific game modes. So keep an eye out for that!
When using any of these Age of Empires 4 cheats, it’s important to note that only one cheat code can be entered at a time. Plus, cheating is not available during multiplayer modes which, frankly, although that would be epic, would create a pretty dismal experience.
To use cheats in Age of Empires 4, follow these 3 simple steps

- Step 2: Type the cheat code you want to activate.
- Step 3: Press [ENTER] once more to activate the code.
For the achievement hunters who are looking to master AoE4 in record time, unfortunately, entering cheats will disable all achievement and mastery progress during that session. What else did you expect? 😂
Age of Empires 4 Taunts
If cheating your way to victory wasn’t enough, Age of Empires 4 also now enables players to Taunt their opponents via a series of shortcodes. Both cheating and taunting are two of the most favourite past times of AoE fans and this introduction into Age of Empires 4 just makes for such a beautiful addition to wind up your opponents.
To use Taunts in Age of the Empires 4, follow these 3 simple steps:
- Step 1: Press [ENTER] to open the chat box
- Step 2: Type “/” and the number of the taunt you want
- Step 3: Press [ENTER] to use the taunt.
To find each of the taunts that are available to use, you can visit your player profile during the game. At first, you may not have unlocked all of the available Taunts in Age of Empires 4. However, it won’t be long before you have the entire Taunt list at your disposal.
